Culture of High Performance Teams
A high-performance culture is a workplace where people genuinely belong, are valued for the work they do, and are trusted to do it well. They don’t want to leave. They go the extra mile without being chased. They’re more productive, more efficient, less stressed, because the environment works with them, not against them.
Here’s our unique process for developing cultures of high performance.
What this looks like in practice
We worked with the full team at Ray White Austar, not just leadership, not a small group, everyone, building something together that no consultant, trainer or leader could simply hand to them from the outside. The shift wasn’t immediate. Culture change never is. But it became visible, then measurable.
“It wasn’t my culture. It wasn’t the owner’s culture. It was our culture, built by the team, for the team. We saw significant growth in market share, better recruitment, improved retention, and more courageous conversations that won new business with our clients. And the people who didn’t fit the new culture? They left on their own, because it was too uncomfortable for them to stay.”
Len Day, Ray White Austar
A genuine high-performance culture is self-selecting. It attracts the right people, keeps the right people, and gives your customers a reason to trust the brand.
Why this isn’t a nice-to-have
When Trineo, a small Salesforce integration business, went up against the big four firms for a New Zealand Ministry of Education contract, they didn’t out-resource the competition. They made their team’s values the core of the pitch.
“Steve helped my previous company align our pitch for a government department RFP. Up against big four firms, Steve took us on a journey to put our culture at the heart of our response and presentation, which ultimately led to a very successful outcome against those much bigger firms.”
Dan Fowlie, Trineo
They won. Not with a bigger budget. With a bigger reason.
